Narrator1. (Center) Once upon a time…
Cinderella. (mopping to Center) Hey, man, I’m mopping the floor, OK? Don’t block my way! (use the mop to push Narrator off at Left)
Witch. (approach to Cinderella) Hey, you, girl! What’s your name?
Cinderella. (stop mopping) My name is Cinderella. C-I-N-D-E-R…
Witch. Fine! Whatever. Would you want to go to the Prince’s Ball?
Cinderella. Ball? I have a ball. (hold up a ball)
Witch. (speechless)… I mean, a dance. The Prince will choose the most beautiful woman at the ball—the dance—to be his bride!
Cinderella. (sudden realization) Oooooh. Aren’t my sisters there right now?
Witch. Yes.
Cinderella That’s why I’m all alone in this little house, cleaning all the mess… (begin sobbing) I’m so lonely…
Witch. Well… You still have me! I can help you go anywhere, do anything…
Cinderella. (stop sobbing) Really? Then let’s play hide and seek! (drop the mop, face the wall, against the witch, count extremely fast) One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. Ready or not, here I come! (turn, see the Witch, point at the Witch) Ah-ha!
Witch. (speechless) …… Why don’t you go play hide and seek with the Prince?
Cinderella. Why? Is he good at it? Is he better than me? (worried, little anger)
Witch. Of course! He’s the best player of hide and seek in the whole country! (turn away from Cinderella) Isn’t he?
Cinderella. I don’t believe it! I’m going to challenge him! (cross Down Left)
Witch. The Prince’s Palace is in that direction. (point Right stage[left side]) (Cinderella crosses Right) (fingers point to the back of Cinderella)
Evil Spirit, I call upon you
Help me now and I will, too
Show them lies and hide what’s true
Wenbee wanbee winbee WOO!
(Cinderella disappear, off into curtain) (evil laughter, off into curtain) (music stop)

[SCENE 2] Narrators walk up to the Center. Some workers behind are setting for scene 3.
Narrator1. (face audience) Yes, this is the story of Cinderella. The true story that has been hidden for centuries. (grand) Now, Ladies and Gentlemen, we proudly present the REAL Cinderella to all of you!
Narrator2. (hold up book) Long, long ago, in a far, far away kingdom… (to audience) Why don’t we skip this part? (flip through some pages, read) Hmm, “the Witch decided to let the little not-so-good-looking coarse Cinderella go to the ball and get married to the Prince because Cinderella’s two sisters were so mild, gentle, graceful, sweet, thoughtful, lovely…
Sisters. (sitting inside a wagon with Mother)Well, thank you!
Narrator2. And above all, so beautiful that the Witch got jealous.”
Narrator1. (to the audience) Indeed, she couldn’t stand to see anyone being happy. She didn’t want either one of them to get married to the so-called handsome Prince and live happily ever after.
Narrator2. (read in the book) “The Witch thought of a splendid idea. She found the dullest girl in the country, Cinderella, and turned her into a beauty by her evil magic. The Witch sent Cinderella to the dance and made the Prince fall in love with this foolish vulgar fake beauty.”
(both off)(workers off)

[SCENE 3] A grand, fancy ball at Center and Left. Decked out people are at the ball, moving and talking. A wagon at Right. Three women are inside the wagon. Sad guitar by single player.
Elder sister. (off the wagon gracefully) Finally, we’ve arrived at the ball.
Little sister. (off the wagon gracefully after Elder sister)Yes, my lovely sister.
Mother. (off the wagon after Little sister) Now, you two sweet beauties, no matter who marries the Prince, you will still love each other as you once did.
Elder sister. Absolutely, Mother, although I have never loved her, (look at Little sister) ever.
Little sister. So have I. (smile)
(Cinderella, dressed in white, appears from the Right curtain, grinning with a wild mouth. Cinderella approach to the Center)
Little sister. (see Cinderella) Oh, dear! (hands cover her eyes) What a foolish girl!
Elder sister. (see Cinderella, startled) Isn’t that Cinderella? Oh, dear! (faint gracefully after turning circles)
Male. (cross to Mother from the ball)You know who that girl is? (pointing at Cinderella)
Mother. (wave hands acutely) Oh, no! (have a glimpse at Cinderella, cross to the ball)
Male. (approach to Cinderella) Nice to meet you, young lady. I’m Prince Ed. What’s your name? (polite, soft) (Mother and Little sister stared at him)
Cinderella. (looks at Ed) So you’re the Prince! Man, nice to meet you! (shake his hand hard, enthusiastic) I’m Cinderella. Let’s play hide and seek.
Ed. Why not have a dance before the game? There’s no need to rush. (soft)
Cinderella. Okay! Let’s do it! (start shaking her body, nodding her head)
(Start playing Rock music) (Everyone in the ball starts shaking their bodies)
Ed. All right! (shaking, dancing)
(Music stops, everyone stops dancing. Back to single guitar, people start leaving.)
Cinderella. (excited) It’s time for hide and seek! (rush Right, off the stage)
Ed. (extremely fast) One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. Ready or not, here I come! (rush Left, off the stage)
(Cinderella runs out from Right, crosses to Center, trips over Elder sister, falls to the ground, left shoe looses, stands up, continue to rush Left, off.)
Witch. (appear from Right, to Center, pick up the shoe, evil laughter) Ha ha ho ho hee, ha he he hoo! Pretty little slipper, you shall help me accomplish my great evil plan! (to the slipper)
Hold the slipper, young fella’
Gently in your palm
Without little Cinderella
You shall not be calm
(smell it, throw up, place the shoe back, laugh, off at Right. Voice from behind the curtain) Love her! Love her, you shall!
(Ed runs out from Left, crosses to Center, trips over Elder sister, falls to the ground on Cinderella’s left shoe, stands up, stares at the slipper)
Ed. What a fancy beautiful slipper! (bend, reach toward the shoe… stop suddenly) Hrrohg…(throw up) Man, this shoe stinks! (kick it, walk Right, off)
Cinderella. (out from Left, run to Center, trip over Elder sister again, fall on her left shoe) Oh! I think this is mine, isn’t it? (stand up, hold it in her palm, starting to put it on, pause) Wait… (pause, face audience) I’m in love with me! Oh, I love me! (dance, turn in circles) I love me. Love me, love me…(off, Right)
(Elder sister off)

[SCENE 4] In a dark forest, Narrator at Left. Robin Hood is behind [the forest, a bush, some trees or else]. Mysterious music.
Narrator2. Cinderella was so in love that without noticing, she had ventured into a forest next to the Palace, not knowing somebody was living deep inside the forest…
Cinderella. Oh, I LOVE ME! (sing) I love me, me I love. We are happy family, with a great big hug and a kiss from me to me, (kiss a mirror) won’t I say I love me, too?
Narrator2. Prince Ed, who saw Cinderella dancing into the woods, had followed her all the way into the dark, dark forest.
Ed. (from Right, see Cinderella, shout cheerfully) Ah-ha! Gotcha! (move toward the dancing Cinderella)
Robin Hood. (jump out from behind, with an arrow) You! I know you! You’re the Prince! (aim Ed) Give me your gold! I need it to pay my debts. Quickly! I want GOLD!
(Cinderella is still dancing, murmuring “love.”)
Ed. (two arms up) Don’t shoot! I know you, too. You’re Robin Hood!
(Narrator2. (startled) ROBIN HOOD!?)
Ed. You’re my elementary school classmate!
(Meanwhile, Narrator2. (murmuring, confused) This is not right… Cinderella… Robin Hood… What’s going on…?)
Robin Hood. No, you liar… (stare at Ed) Wait a minute… You’re Dummy Ed, aren’t you? (Ed nod) Eddy! (drop arrow, hug Ed, see Cinderella) And you! You’re my childhood sweetheart, Cindy!
(Narrator2. CHILDHOOD SWEETHEART!?)
Cinderella. Oh, Robin Hood! Have you met my spouse? I’ve married myself! (show Robin her ring, hold up a mirror, look into it) Oh, isn’t she cute? My pretty sweetie Cindy! (kiss the mirror)
Robin Hood. (cry) My heart is broken! (sob, see Narrator2 laughing) What’s so funny, huh? Gimme your gold! (aim Narrator2)
Narrator2. (frightened) Hey, drop it! Don’t!
(Robin Hood shoots, Narrator2 bleeds and dies.)
Cinderella. (scream) AAAAAAAH-----
Ed: (push Robin) What have you done!? You killed the Narrator!
Robin Hood. (angrily) So what!? I’ll kill you ,too! (shoot Ed, Ed dies)
Cinderella. AAAAAAAH-----
Robin Hood. What are you screaming about, huh? (shoot Cinderella, Cinderella dies. To the audience, angrily) What? You don’t need a Narrator! You don’t need actors! We all live happily ever after, alright? (off)
Narrator1. (sneak out after Robin is off) No, they all lived miserably ever… (Robin runs out, shoots Narrator1)
Robin Hood. (loudly, angrily) HAPPILY! Happily ever after!
(Everyone stands up, other actors come put from curtains, line up. Mother pulls the fainted Elder sister put. Bow all together.)
Everyone. Then they all lived [Narrators: miserably, Robin Hood: happily, Prince Ed: innocently, Sister and Mother: gracefully, Cinderella: beautifully, Witch: evilly…] ever after! (all off)
Cinderella. (from beyond, kiss) I LOVE ME.
